Off the battle itself I could only hear grunts, groans and cries of pain. They tell of an elite monk, and a shadow claw monster. The monster telepathically told them it would kill them. Not the best start of a healthy relationship. According to them it was easy as pie, but as this is Ricardo we are talking about, he probably almost went unconscious. Redemption mainly complained that her banishment spell did not have any effect on the shadow creature, and both of her enemies had no souls to harvest.. it is getting kind of creepy.
But with the fight done, we were accepted as guests into the seven elements temple.
Ricardo was taken on a tour with the Githyanki warrior he had defeated earlier, he learns about their monk ways, trains with her, learns their style, and apparently spend some time in her room. I mean, off course he can do whatever he want, we have nothing going on anymore, and it was just a booty call every now and then anyway..
In the mean time I was gathering info, apparently the friend that Jolie made was also a chronomaster. Or as she called herself, miss timeless. She tells us that she has another way to keep the sleeping god sleeping. By gathering 7 pieces of, from 7 chronomasters and combining them all in the fountain we could apparently gain the power to keep the sleeping god, sleeping. Or even.. keep its power for ourselves.
However getting these pieces is not easy, first of all challenges have to be overcome to get to the planes with the other keepers. And when we are there we have to get the keepers so far to actually give us the information.
The only one who completed all challenges so far was the baron dereksas, thereby making him the master of this monastery. Miss timeless was quite surprised that so many of the seals were already broken, so this apparently not something she could sense. Furthermore she had already had contact with Eskerina, they however did not leave of the best of terms, it seemed like Esk had stolen some information from her.
These is another option though. Putting the god to sleep once again, will only postpone the trouble again. If we could kill it for good. It might not be impossible as well. There are weapons known throughout history that could do it. Weapons made by the Azer using the titanforge, a forge of epic power*. One of which is owned by the eefreti king in the city of brass. The titanforge was sadly lost when they attempted to make amour for the king of the fire giants.
Lastly we had a talk with the Baron dereksas. He could help us, grant us information, however the only thing we had to barter, were our souls. We kindly refused.
There are 8 chambers.
The chamber of silk: testing your power, and inner power
The chamber of stone: testing insight and fighting prowess
The chamber of sorcery: requiring magic and power.
The chamber of clockwork: requiring timing, (it is important to identify where you can stand, or you will get damaged)
The chamber of sand in which speed is of prime importance.
The chamber of battle: Where, the name kind of spoils is, you have to fight
The chamber of immolation: where heat is a problem, the skill is.. surviving.
*Might it be.. the dwarf that mentioned a forge, powered by one of the boxes, deep in the underdark..
