I awoke, Ricardo and redemption by my side both sleeping. I was lying down on my bedroll. I must have fainted due to the power of the Word. As they woke I saw that I was not the only one influenced by these powers. Ricardo was covered in some kind of.. wood? while Redemption her sword had become even more wicked than before. Off course Ricardo had to make some jokes about his new condition as soon as he woke, and even though tempting.. now was not the time.
Redemption let us now that Ka’tau was still alive and that he was coming up. In order to speed up our meeting we went down towards them.
While walking through the hallways we heard a huge racket, knowing our allies only to well, we knew it had to be Ka’Tau so we hurried towards the sound. Ignoring the skeletons on guard we flew on our mounts into the forge. There we saw, next to a big hole in the ground, a big ramshackle construction. On top of it a familiar dragonborn was trying to hold onto whatever was withing reach, at the bottom of the construction it was swarming with Likko’s.
just as we came in flying the building started collapsing in on itself. When we started getting close an unnatural darkness covered Ka’Tau. Redemption swooped down to help him. I threw a spell in the direction in order to help Ka’Tau but aiming turned out to be hard on a Pegasus into darkness. At the same time Ricardo spotted Garritas, who had hidden away in some part of the forge. I quickly went to get him, and only seconds later Grifferion with Redemption on his back and Ka’tau in his claws came flying out of the darkness. Yelling to each other we went back to the place we had previously rested.
The spot was not as safe as it had been before though, it was minutes before the Likko’s started flowing into the room and climbing up towards us. We fended of a few of them, but then got back on the steeds. We would not be able to fight them all, we had to find Esk. Now!
“luck” had it that Esk found us first.
The illusion of her head appeared in front of us again. She told us to come to her, that we had some talking to do. It might have been a trap, but our choices were getting to limited. So we went to her. Her lair was.. the shape of 2 pyramids inverted into each other. A piece of it openend up and we flew in.
