The party and the Westvallers find themselves confronting a huge number of Triffids surrounding the Finnley Farm. Using clever tactics and long range weaponry and magicks, the party is able to draw the force of Triffids away from the farm.

Quickly they discover that the Triffids seem to have evolved into a more powerful version of themselves. Their bark is much tougher than previously and has become slightly more resistant to fire damage. Their “tongue” attack now carries a dose of paralysis rather than blindness. And they now seem to move quicker than before and with more cunning.

During the battle, Christoffer struggles with the urge to rush and engage the foe’s in melee combat. Eventually his inner struggle fails and he rushes in to do battle. Once so engaged the battle further strokes his rage into a burning fury – and much to everyone’s surprise – he transforms into the hybrid form of a were-boar.

Initially the party are hopeful that Christoffer in his new form will be savior of the day, but quickly it is made apparent that he sees all as foes in this new form.

Romero thinking quickly taunts the Chris-boar to follow him – using expeditious retreat to keep out of harms way – and leads the Chris-boar towards the remaining Triffids. There eventually one of the paralysis attacks sends Christoffer into a slumber state and he transforms back into his normal self once again – all be it comatose.

The remaining Triffids are quickly dealt with and the party starts the gruesome task of harvesting materials from their bodies.
