After our fight with the triffids we finally could take some rest and get our bearings in Søro. We talked to Lieutenant Davids and he told us in how bad shape the settlement was. If we were to help the settlement we should go towards the inn to talk to the healer and maybe some other inhabitants.
Inside the inn there was a makeshift hospital. There we found the healer Melanie. She was taking care of the wounded. Melanie would like to receive herbs to make healing potions. Also in the inn was a Dwarf called Steward Solway. We found out that he was the owner of the Splitrock Quarry. The Dwarf would like us to go to the quarry to make it safe again, so that they can go back to mine stone for the settlement. Furthermore we found out that there was a gnome in the settlement called Jana. She is some sort of alchemist. She want us to gather triffid tongues to make antidote against their blinding attack.
After a night’s sleep we went back to Lieutenant Davids. He told us that the food supply was empty. He asked us to go to the farm east of the settlement. After deciding that food was the number one priority we went on our first adventure outside the settlement on the new continent. Our party was strengthened with Cristoffer the dwarfen fighter and Brat the human ranger.
Towards the farm we had some sightings of some Gnolls but they were really far away. Until we reached the farm there was nothing of interest.
At the farm we spotted two Triffids. These triffids had to be dealt with. We took our best spots and attacked the triffids. One Triffid was burned to ashes. The second one we defeated without fire so we could harvest the tongue for the alchemist back in Søro.
When the attack was over, the door of the farm opened and a family of gnomes poured out. Grandma Finley and the rest of the family where very grateful that we defeated the triffids. After a good nights rest at the farm the gnomes could harvest the much needed grain and vegetables for the settlement. they also helped out to gather some herbs for Jana and Melanie. Before we know it we went on our way back towards Søro with 4 wagons of food. On the way back we found no trouble with other inhabitants. We saw some ruins in the distance (7,6). (Garitas found a tip of a pyramid but kept it a secret. this was east of Søro)
Back at Søro everybody was delighted that there was a new supply of food. To celebrate this there was a big feast that boosted morale (a bit).
