Background

Jonathen had a pretty good though uninteresting live growing up in the city of Westport. At his 16 birthday, the age at which children become men, he decided to join the King’s army. He was curious about the rest of the world, hearing of far of lands from traders and boatmen, and he decided it could not hurt to learn how to defend yourself.

He found he excelled in the brotherhood of soldiers, finding and honing his skills with weapons but also with people. Because of his helpful nature and cool head during stressful times, his fellow soldiers looked up to him for guidance and support. Within 5 years he grew in the ranks to sergeant for these leadership qualities, taking good care of the men under his command.

After serving in the army for 8 years, he felt he needed to get rooted and he decided to return to the city he grew up in.

On his way there he came through a little village called Westvale and he found the local villagers to be harassed by a group of bandits. He decided to do what he does best and he worked together with the villagers to learn to protect themselves and organize their defenses. Together they formulated a plan to rid the village of these bandits forever, which worked brilliantly.

During his time in the village, he got acquainted with a local peasant daughter named Sansey. After the battle with the bandits she took care of his wounds in loving fashion, and he grew very fond of her. A year later they got married and he got to learn the trade of farming.

Present day

Jonathen leads a part of the village to The Lost Continent, where they will build up a new farm (Westvale Farm) and a new life. He has taken his old soldier’s gear from the attic and refurnished them for this adventure.
