I was afraid we would have to resort to torture to get the information out of the vile creature, but luckily we were able to quite thoroughly search its mind.

BY questioning it while reading its thoughts we were able to conclude that there was a harpy nest in the mountains, these harpies worked for the undead because their eggs were held hostage, not that the creatures seemed to mind doing the dirty work very much. In the harpy lair there was a big pearl to be found, however it was not quite the size of the pearl we needed to get, and not the right colour either.
We discovered that the necropolis was much closer than we first expected, pretty much on the other side of a mountain area. We decided to follow our plan to travel next to the forest until we found the road that the undead army made while marching for Soro and the gnoll empire, and were eventually successfully.
While travelling we met multiple parties on skeletons, however they seemed to completely ignore us. They were carrying bones to the necropolis, gathering the bones must have not been very hard, I’ve hardly ever seen an area so devoid of life as were we were travelling now, the undead scourge is clearly present.

We were able to some experiments on the skeletons, for one, if we scratched out the rune on its neck, the rune we have found on all undead so far, the skeleton immediately crumbled, indicating that this is somehow a conduct for the magic that holds these things together. Furthermore I was able to dispel one of the skeletons, at least temporarily. The fact that this magic can still be overcome is hopeful, however I am uncertain if my abilities will be strong enough to deal with the source of the magic.

arriving at the necropolis, we found that it probably has been a ancient city corrupted by the undead presence. 6 giant statues were surrounding a ziggurat consisting out of multiple levels. On tops of the statues giant arches reached towards the second level of the ziggurat, one of the few ways it seems to get into the ziggurat. Another way we could see from the distance was a road going up it, however a crucial drawbridge was lifted, blocking passage.
The statues represented an alignment, in that the were in the shape of well known gods: Pelor(LG), Boccob (LN), Hextor (LE), Thritereon(CG), Beory (CN), Erythnul (CE). However instead of their normal regal position, the undead had changed the statues to be in a subservient position.

We could see that hundreds if not thousands of skeletons were entering the zigurat however. We thought that these skeletons, all carrying bones, at some point should get to some intelligent creature, who in turn we could hopefully question to get some information on how to get into this giant structure. So we started carrying some bones as well and walked with the crowd. Romero and Ricardo covered our flanks invisible, however at some point we ran into a waterfall which might wash away our illusion magics. So they decided to take a small detour, Ricardo found an small temple like object devoted to LAW. But as soon as he grabbed it a succubus came and seduced him.
When the rest of us crossed the waterfall under the cover of our shield we were attacked by some giant bats. These were easily taken care of, but then we were attacked by an enamoured Ricardo who started attacking Redemption. We were able to get right of his magical compulsion but not before sustaining heavy damage.

Eventually we followed the skeletons into a ravine into the ground, after walking for some time we came across a magma stream, with an obsidian bridge infused with magic covering it. It was guarded by two gargoyles, also infused with magic. On the other side of the stream we could see the rune we have seen on all the undead so far carved under the entrance of a cavern in a really big font.

Hopefully we will be able to dispatch or fool the creatures so we can get further into this hellhole.

Last time we left of with a harpy in our hands.
